sunbrella

Sunbrella ® fabric is most often used in two types of residential and commercial applications.

Fixed awnings are fabricated of Sunbrella fabric that stays fixed to an existing frame. It easily brightens up any home or business and can complement almost any architectural style. For commercial purposes , it's great for attracting attention to your business with either styling or signage. Since Sunbrella comes in over 100 distinctive colors, stripes and patterns, there's certainly a shade that's right for you.

Used as an awning fabric Sunbrella can block out 75% of the sun's heat and reduce a room's temperature from 8 to 15 degrees. Laboratory controlled and outdoor exposure tests* showed that air under a Sunbrella awning was 22% cooler than the air under coated awnings. Sunbrella is not coated, but has pores that allow air and moisture to escape. There is also a savings of up to 25% on air conditioning.

Sunbrella is also highly soil resistant. Simply brush off loose dirt, wash with mild, soapy water, using a soft brush, and rinse.

Sunbrella Firesist Fabric

Sunbrella Firesist sets the standard for flame-retardant exterior and interior fabrics. This commercial use fabric meets the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association as well as the stringent California Fire Marshal's test, but that's only the beginning.

The fact is, Sunbrella Firesist is unlike any other material you can buy. No other exterior/interior fabric is woven from pigmented flame-retardant fibers, or comes with Glen Raven's 5 year limited warranty. Sunbrella Firesist isn't just another fabric sprayed or coated with flame retardant chemicals. Instead it's woven from flame-retardant fibers.

In addition to making awnings, canopies, and other decorative treatments safer, these fibers make them better than those made of conventional fabrics. Like traditional Sunbrella, Sunbrella Firesist wont crack, peel, harden, or become affected by mildew or rot. Furthermore, it's highly soil resistant. Finally, its solution dyed, locked in colors won't fade, and it comes with a five year limited warranty.

Sunbrella Firesist is highly breathable, and therefore energy efficient. In both laboratory-controlled and outdoor exposure tests, the air under a Sunbrella awing proved to be 22% cooler than the air under a coated awning. That can make a big difference in energy costs.
